Aren’t clouds brilliant?

Watergate Bay nimbus.

Remember the Paul Whitehouse character in the Fast Show, the skallywag who used to wander round saying “in’t nature brilliant,” in a Manchester accent? Well being a photographer you have to be like that, keeping an eye out for “brilliant” things all the time, even when you don’t feel brilliant or there’s not much to feel brilliant about.
I’ve always been fascinated by clouds, ever since I used to play cricket at primary school. My and my mate Tim Cannon used to alleviate the boredom lying on our backs between innings and looking up at the clouds and see dragons, monsters and faces in the ever-changing white fluffy things above.
It’s just as well, because there’s been no shortage of clouds this summer.
